Hudson Valley Man Hit, Killed By Pickup Truck A 39-year-old Hudson Valley man was struck and killed by a Dodge Ram pickup truck while standing on a roadway in Connecticut. The crash occurred in Hartford County around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, on I-91 north of the Exit 46 on-ramp in Enfield. According to the Connecticut State Police, Dutchess County resident TJ Jennings of Hopewell Junction was standing in the highway's right lane when struck by the truck. The truck came to a stop on the right shoulder, state police said. State Police said Jennings sustained injuries "not compatible with life" and was pronounced dead at the scene. …

15-Year-Old Struck By Car In Rockland, Seriously Injured A 15-year-old was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured along a Hudson Valley roadway. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 6:10 p.m., Monday, May 6, at 290 W. Route 59 in Spring Valley. According to Det. Fatal Crash: Vehicle Hits Tree, Goes Up In Flames On Busy Hudson Valley Highway A person was killed in a fiery crash on a busy Hudson Valley highway, police announced.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Monday, May 6, around 7:15 p.m., when a vehicle traveling on I-84 in Kent left the roadway and struck a tree, according to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. After hitting the tree, the vehicle went up in flames, Hicks said. The driver, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash has not been released.
