A Wayne family is on the mend after a fire damaged their home on Saturday, May 4 killing their beloved dog, Cali. Elmwood Park police busted a repeat offender with mushrooms, LSD, pot and prescription pills, authorities said. Brandon J. Soto, 25, of East Orange blew a stop sign off the ramp from eastbound Route 46 onto Stefanic Avenue and was pulled over by members of the Street Crimes Unit, Elmwood Park Police Chief Michael Foligno said. One-Way NJ Transit Tickets Will Soon Expire After 30 Days
NJ Transit is rolling out a new policy for its one-way tickets. Beginning Monday, July 1, all one-way tickets will expire after 30 days, NJ Transit announced. All tickets purchased prior to July 1, will expire on July 31, regardless of their original date of purchase. There will be no changes to the existing refund policy, NJ Transit said. The 34-year-old teacher told police she was parking her Honda Civic at the New Jersey Expanding Capabilities Center on Chamberlain Avenue when she lost her brakes around noon on Tuesday, May 7, Little Ferry Police Chief James Walters said. A crash that severely damaged two vehicles closed a major Hackensack roadway and Route 17 entrance ramp on Tuesday morning, May 7.
