Monday, July 30

Mount Pleasant Library closed: The Mount Pleasant Library will be closed all week for roof repairs. During the closing of the Main Library, hours will be extended at the Branch Library at 125 Lozza Drive in Valhalla. Temporary hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Jacob Burns film schedule: The film center will screen movies such as "The Intouchables," "Beast of the Southern Wild," "To Rome with Love" and more. Visit Jacob Burns' website for a complete schedule of movies. 364 Manville Road.

Open Mic Night: 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Lucy's Lounge hosts an open mic night every Monday night. 446 Bedford Road.

Tuesday, July 31

Wednesday, August 1

Give Me the Banjo: 7:30 p.m. The Steve Martin-narrated documentary will be screened at the Jacob Burns Film Center as part of its "Sounds of Summer" series. A question and answer with filmmaker Marc Fields will follow. 364 Manville Road.
