The Pace womens basketball team took to the road Saturday and delivered an 88-79 victory over the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.
The Setters advance to 12-3 overall and 9-2 in the Northeast-10 conference, while the River Hawks dropped to 5-10 overall and 4-7 in conference play.
UMass-Lowell came out strong and took a 10-point lead four minutes into the game, but the Setters chipped away at the deficit throughout the next seven minutes and took their first lead of the game on a layup from Brittany Shields. The two teams would trade the lead with the Setters up 42-39 going into the halftime break.
Shields led the Setters with 18 points and seven rebounds. Allison Cleary and Kerri White followed with 17 points apiece. Cleary also added six rebounds, three assists and White added four rebounds.
