PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Pace University clinical professor Ellen D. Mandel has been invited to join the editorial board of the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (JAAPA).

The mission of this peer-reviewed clinical journal is to support the ongoing education and advancement of physician assistants (PAs) by publishing current information and research on clinical, health policy and professional issues.

Inclusion on the editorial board is by invitation and goes through a rigorous vetting process. There are 10 editorial board members representing a range of clinical and education specialties. The journal has more than 76,000 subscribers and is indexed in PubMed, CINAHL and EBSCO.

Mandel has also been named to the Research Council for the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA). The Research Council’s work includes fostering research and scholarly activities within PAEA by advising and making recommendations to the PAEA Board of Directors for the coordination and oversight of research-related activities.
