PHS was ranked 36th in the state, good for 11th-best in Westchester County.
Pleasantville's student population of 584 exceeded the state average in all of the surveys major metrics, which included: College readiness, mathematics proficiency and English proficiency. The school also boasts an Advanced Placement participation rate of 70 percent.

The top-ranked high school in New York was The High School of American Studies in the Bronx.
