PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Pace University has been awarded the JedCampus Seal from the Jed Foundation, a leading organization working to promote emotional health and prevent suicide among college and university students. Pace is one of the first universities in the nation to receive the honor.
As part of the process, Pace completed a voluntary self-assessment. Its responses were then compared with the practices recommended by the Jed Foundation and Suicide Prevention Resource Center. Pace also received confidential feedback designed to further enhance its program. The seal is valid for two years.
Pace University’s Counseling Centers serve a diverse campus population by providing a wide range of services to meet the mental health needs of students, according to Director Richard Shadick, Ph.D. The staff has expertise in addressing the academic, professional, and psychological concerns of the student population including suicide prevention programs tailored to various populations.
