PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Police arrested two suspects near the Chappaqua Train Station on Thursday morning about five hours after they fled the scene of an accident on Bedford Road.
Pleasantvlle Police Chief Erik Grutzner told Daily Voice that the accident occurred about 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Bedford Road (Route 117) and Manville Road.
A car left the road, landing in a yard on Bedford Road, Grutzner said.
Two suspects fled on foot, but police set up a perimeter search along the village's boundaries, the police chief said.
One suspect was arrested about 7:30 a.m. south of Chappaqua Train Station. A second suspect was arrested at the railroad station, Grutzner said.
Police plan to release additional details about the arrest, and photos of the suspects later Thursday.
