Car Lands In Pleasantville Yard, Fleeing Suspects Caught In Chappaqua

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Police arrested two suspects near the Chappaqua Train Station on Thursday morning about five hours after they fled the scene of an accident on Bedford Road.

A car ended up in the yard of a Bedford Road resident near Manville Road in Pleasantville overnight. A pair of fleeing suspects were arrested near Chappaqua Train Station about 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, five hours after the crash.

Pleasantvlle Police Chief Erik Grutzner told Daily Voice that the accident occurred about 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Bedford Road (Route 117) and Manville Road.

A car left the road, landing in a yard on Bedford Road, Grutzner said. 

Two suspects fled on foot, but police set up a perimeter search along the village's boundaries, the police chief said.

One suspect was arrested about 7:30 a.m. south of Chappaqua Train Station. A second suspect was arrested at the railroad station, Grutzner said. 

Police plan to release additional details about the arrest, and photos of the suspects later Thursday.
