Mary Moran, 80, Lifelong Pleasantville Resident

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Mary V. Moran, a lifelong resident of Pleasantville, died Aug. 10. She was 80.

Moran was born April 11, 1932, in Pleasantville to Thomas and Margaret Molinaro Papa. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the American Legion Gilbert Rauh Post  1574 in Thornwood, Clinton Street Center in Pleasantville, Carpenters Union Retirees Club and the Mount Pleasant Seniors.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Walter R. Moran Jr., of Pleasantville; a daughter, Mary Ellen Macauda, of Norwalk, Conn.; three sons, Walter R. (Kathryn) Moran III, of Hawthorne, Thomas A. (Karen) Moran, of Houston, Texas, and Mark J. (Colleen) Moran, of Pleasantville; and seven grandchildren. Moran was predeceased by a son-in-law, Michael Macauda.

Visiting hours are from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Hawthorne Funeral Home . A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Innocents Church in Pleasantville. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Pleasantville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Legion Gilbert Rauh Post 1574, Clinton Street Center or Calvary Hospital in Bronx, N.Y.
