The funds will benefit children's charities, including the Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters, Family & Children's Aid, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, and Camp Rising Sun, a camp for children who have been diagnosed with cancer.

Bendus was one of 450 participants who took part in the annual outing, followed by an evening at the Farmington Club featuring live and silent auctions, dinner, and an awards ceremony.

Hosted by Bob's Discount Furniture co-founders Bob Kaufman and Gene Rosenberg, guests included Bob's employees, vendors and partners. The event has raised more than $6 million for charity in its 29-year history.
