Generally, 1 to 2 inches of snow is expected in the Lower Hudson Valley, with accumulating snow starting overnight Saturday, the weather service stated. Higher accumulation amounts are expected farther east.
However, there is the chance for more.

The chances of seeing 2 inches or more of accumulation is 50 percent. But there is still a chance of up to 4-5 inches of snowfall if the storm timeframe lasts a bit longer than expected or snowfall is somewhat heavier than anticipated.
There is a chance of some light snow or snow flurries late Saturday morning into the early afternoon, with little or no accumulation.
Accumulation is expected late Saturday evening into early Sunday morning.
Sunday will be partly sunny with a high near 40.
The first day of spring is Monday, March 20, will be sunny with a high in the low 40s.
