WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - The New Castle Police Department is cautioning motorists to avoid downtown as Con Edison conducts gas main work in Chappaqua.

An alert was issued on Thursday morning advising that there is traffic congestion in the downtown area as crews continue working on South Greeley Avenue, causing delays.

Police said that motorists should avoid the area, and those that must travel through should allow themselves additional time.
