Pleasantville Places In Top 5 At Westlake Wrestling Divisionals

THORNWOOD, N.Y. -- Putnam Valley repeated as overall champion, winning its fourth title -- nine points ahead of second-place Pearl River -- at the Section 1 Division 2 wrestling championships Saturday at Westlake High School.

Edgemont took third, Nanuet was fourth and Pleasantville earned fifth. Woodlands (seventh), Irvington (eighth), Westlake (ninth) and Ardsley-Dobbs rounded out the top 10.

Fourteen schools competed at the tournament, which qualifies wrestlers for the upcoming Section 1  Tournament.
