PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pleasantville resident and table tennis lover Will Shortz hit a personal milestone Tuesday when he played his 1,000th consecutive day of the game, reports the Examiner .
Shortz, who is also the owner of the Westchester Table Tennis Center and the New York Times crossword puzzle editor, started the journey to his 1,000th game in 2012 when he vowed to play every day that year – and continued the playing streak for years after, according to the report.
A celebration of his 1,000th day of play will be held tonight from 7-11 p.m. at the Westchester Table Tennis Center, reports the Examiner.
