BEDFORD, N.Y. - It looked and felt more like a mid-winter day, but neither team seemed to mind the cold, snowy conditions Saturday as the Pleasantville High boys lacrosse team opened its season with a 6-5 win over host Fox Lane.

The Panthers, two-time Section 1 finalists, got the game-winning goal from freshman attacker Brian Reda (two goals) with 5:50 remaining.

Senior captain Baylor Rosenbaum also had two goals for Pleasantville, and Bryan Archie had a goal and two assists.

Cullen Morgan had a goal and an assist for the Foxes, and Tom Tenney, Dan Tracy, Matt Leader and Matt Magnan each scored for the Foxes.
