The Setters women's basketball team rallied from a first-half deficit to remain unbeaten in a 50-46 victory over American International College in Northeast-10 Conference game.
The unbeaten Setters improved to 3-0 and 2-0 in the NE-10, while the Yellow Jackets fell to 1-5 and 0-2 in conference play.
American International jumped out to an early 14-4 lead midway through the first, but Pace rallied back to trail 22-14 at the break. Pace outscored AIC 12-4 with a run in the second half as Brittany Shields (Cold Spring, N.Y.) scored four points, while Marla Javadifar (Flushing, N.Y.) hit a pair of free throws to tie the game at 42.
Shields posted her third double-double of the young season and finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Javadifar finished with seven points, eight boards and three assists.
The Setters are back in action on Sunday against Northeast-10 Conference foe University of New Haven at 1:30 p.m.
