Pace Volleyball Player Rowland Earns East Region Honors

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pace senior volleyball player Elyse Rowland earned a selection to the Daktronics Division II All-East Region First Team for the second straight season.

Rowland also earned the 2012 Northeast-10 Conference Libero of the Year, an honor she also earned in 2011. She also earned First Team All-Conference honors for the second straight year.

The Antioch, Calif. native led the conference with 664 digs, nearly 100 more than the second-place finisher. She averaged 5.15 digs per set to lead the league and ranked 30th in all of Division II in that category. Rowland is the all-time leader in digs in the rally scoring era and is second in all-time digs with 2,158.

Pace finished 10-5 in conference play this season and upset third-seeded Franklin Pierce in the first round of the NE-10 Championship. The Setters then lost to Adelphi University, 3-1, in the semifinals.
