PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pace University freshmen swimmers Robert O'Gorman and Madison Kiefer have been named ECAC Rookie of the Week for their efforts in the pool last week.

O'Gorman earns this honor just days after he was named Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week. In a dual-meet against Southern Connecticut State Universiry, he posted top times of 1:48.41 and 50.20 in the 200-free and 100-free respectively. He finished the meet with the first place time of 55.39 during the 100-butterfly event.

Days later in the ECAC Championships, O'Gorman posted the Setters best finish for the men with a time of 5:01.51 in the 500-free to earn 13th place. Kiefer was recently named to the NE-10 Conference Honor Roll following a pair of meets this weekend. She won a pair of races against Southern Connecticut on Friday, clocking tops in both the 1650-free with a time of 18:08.30 and the 500-free with a clocking of 5:22.31.

She completed her week with the Setters top finish during the ECAC Championships when she took seventh place in the 500-free after clocking a 5:51.65.   The Setters have over a month off and return to action when they square off with Adelphi University on Thursday, Jan. 15.
