Pace Falls to Dominican in Tip-Off Classic

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Setters men’s basketball team came up just short Saturday in a 55-52 loss to Dominican College on the second day of the Pace Tip-Off Classic.

The Setters fell to 1-1, while Dominican improved to 2-0 on the season in the first weekend of the season.

Keon Williams (Hackensack, N.J.) led Pace with 14 points and three steals and teammates Kai Smith (Upper Marlboro, Md.), Adrian Mills (Woodbridge, Va.) and Delroy Daley (Bronx, N.Y.) each scored seven points, while Daley grabbed a team-best eight rebounds.

Cory Quimby led all scorers for Dominican, finishing with a double-double of 22 points and 22 rebounds. Leone Porter totaled nine points and five assists.

The Setters return to action on Wednesday, when they open up their Northeast-10 Conference schedule in a home doubleheader against Le Moyne College at 7:30 p.m.
