Pace Equestrian Finishes Fourth at Marist

Pleasantville's Pace University’s equestrian team finished in a tie for fourth place at the Marist and Vasaar College show on Saturday.

Pace earned 25 points to tie with Stevens. Centenary placed first with 30 points.

Amanda Lackaye finished in fifth place in Open Fences while Hatsue Matsuyama placed third in Intermediate Flat.

Pace had three riders participate in Novice Fences – Matsuyama, Victoria Keck and Julia Bowler each took fifth place in their division. Bowler won Novice Flat, while Kathleen Marcason finished fifth.

Taylor Bastista won Advanced Walk Trot, while Emily Blakely and Samantha Rue took fourth and fifth place, respectively. Candice Mercado finished fifth in the Walk Trot.

Pace will participate in the IHSA Regionals at Centenary College on Saturday, March 3.
