OSSINING, N.Y. – Ossining High School’s baseball team led, 6-3, after the third inning against Pleasantville on Tuesday and held on for the 6-4 win.

The win snapped the Pride’s second two-game losing streak of the season and moved Ossining up to 9-6 on the year.

Rashawn Armstrong was again solid on the mound for Ossining as he allowed four runs on four hits in six innings while striking out six batters. He also walked five batters. Zack Giusti recorded the save by recording the final three outs.

Ossining’s Greg Lamb was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three singles.

Pleasantville took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning but Ossining scored four runs in the bottom of the second. Pleasantville tried to rally with a run in the third and a run in the seventh but ultimately fell short.

The Panthers will have a chance for revenge as the two teams meet again Thursday at Pleasantville.
