Pleasantville Seniors Highlighted on Award Night

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - More than 90 Pleasantville High School seniors were recognized Tuesday night for outstanding achievements in academics, athletics, arts, leadership and more.

"The motto described on the front entrance way of the school is 'enter to learn, go forth to serve.' And time and time again this group has lived to that motto," said Principal Dawn Bartz. "This is the class of original thinkers. Young people who are not afraid to think out of the box."

Toward the end of the ceremony, the school also named Alana Engelbrecht as its Salutatorian, and Michael Alter as its Valedictorian.
