PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Some parents are urging Pleasantville school officials to ditch their plans to use artificial turf to replace athletic fields, according to theexaminernews.com.

The playing fields at Pleasantville’s three public schools are all scheduled to be resurfaced with artificial turf next year, but a group of parents believe the “crumb rubber” turf may have potentially hazardous carcinogens, theexaminernews.com reported.
