Pleasantville High School Students Honored For Academic Achievement

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- The College Board recently gave out 108 AP Scholar awards to Pleasantville High School students for their exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement exams.

Thirty-six students earned AP Scholar Awards (scored 3 or higher on 3 or more AP exams): Nickolas Andreacchi, Kevin Barile, Erin Biggar, Jesse Calhoun, Thomas Casey, Alex Catalan, Alexandra Ciarcia, Michael Darmohraj, Jack Eisenberg, Lily Fearon, Jacqueline Fisher, Caroline Fraylick, Elen Halimou, Maggie Rose Heidepriem, Aidan Heintzman, Nicholas Hine, Maria Howe, Nina Kapoor, James Leyden, Justin Maldonado, Elizabeth Manley, Linsey Mathew, Shannon McLaughlin, Patricio Mendoza, Steven Mittelstadt, Joseph Nelson, Jacob Nemec, David Nieto, Kimberly O’Keeffe, Darby Olcott, Owen Reda, Erica Romano, Barrett Rosenbaum, Miranda Stein, Benjamin Taubenblatt, Jacob Wallace.

Eight students, all members of the Class of 2013, also received the National AP Scholar Award (scored 4 or higher on 8 or more AP exams and had an average grade of at least 4 on all AP exams taken): Amrithaa Gunabalan, Danielle Labruzzo, Colette McCullagh, Jeewan Naik, Matthew Pastore, Stephanie Rogers, Dana Stopler, and Nicole Tu-Maung. The high school also recently was designated a "Reward School" by the state Education Department for the second consecutive year for being among the highest achieving schools in the state.
