Pleasantville High School students who are part of the school’s community service club Encouraging Children to Help Others (ECHO) are volunteering their time to help kids as part of a special program at the Mount Pleasant Public Library.

The after-school homework help program assists students on Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

“I like helping little kids and it’s something to do when I have free time,” ECHO member Alex Manzi, a first-year volunteer said in a statement.

For more information about the program, contact the library’s Children’s Services at 914-769-0548, ext. 3 or email children@mountpleasantlibrary.org.

The Mount Pleasant Library is at 350 Bedford Road in Pleasantville.
