Pleasantville Cancels School For Monday Ahead Of Hurricane Sandy

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y – The Pleasantville Union Free School District has canceled school for Monday in light of Hurricane Sandy's projected path.

The district issued the decision Sunday, citing Monday's forecasted weather in the region.

According to the latest projections, Hurricane Sandy is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rainfall into New York late Sunday or early Monday, with the bulk of the storm slamming the region early Tuesday.
