The Pleasantville Athletic Program's May Panthers v. Cancer fundraiser sold about 400 T-shirts to help raise money for research on the treatment and cure for cervical cancer. Each T-shirt was emblazoned with “Panthers Fight Strong” on the front and “Support the FIGHTERS, Admiring the SURVIVORS, Honoring the TAKEN, and never ever giving up HOPE" on the back.

More than 200 student athletes wore the T-shirt on Friday.

Organizer and coach Bob Jordon plans to make the fundraiser an annual event.
