PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - The first in a series of discussions on women in leadership was hosted Friday by Pace University’s Student Development and Campus Activities office. About 45 women attended the event, which came about through a new partnership with the Eileen Fisher Leadership Institute (EFLI).

Irvington, N.Y.-based EFLI promotes leadership in young women through self-empowerment, connection with others, and activism in their communities. The objective of the Pace/EFLI partnership is to create a forum for students, faculty, and staff to explore topics relevant to women’s leadership development. Staff members from EFLI helped facilitate the discussion.  “We hope that the ideas generated from this event will help guide future partnership efforts between Pace and EFLI in programming for college women and leadership on college campuses,” said Rachel Carpenter, director of Student Development and Campus Activities at Pace in Pleasantville.
