Pace University President Stephen J. Friedman spoke of the rich history of the campus while looking to the future as Pace prepares to break ground next month on a major revitalization of the campus that includes new residence halls, an expanded dining hall, environmental center and athletic facilities, and a central campus green.

“Thousands of people have met here, been educated here and launched successful careers here,” Friedman said. “Many have fallen in love here. And each one has a story to tell as the tagline of the 50 th anniversary celebration reflects: 50 Years, 50,000 Stories.”

The Pace cheerleaders and mascot T-Bone were driven to the event in a special commemorative bus after appearing on air as part of the lively crowd at NBC’s Today Show in Rockefeller Plaza.

A year-long celebration is planned with a lecture series and other public events. Visit www.pace.edu/PLV50 for more information.
