New York At Center Of Growing National Opt-Out Movement

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – New York has been at the center of the growing national movement to “opt-out” of standardized tests, with more than 60,000 parents refusing to submit their children to such exams, according to The Washington Post.

About one million New York public school students are expected to start taking the tests this week, Daily Voice reported in a recent article.

The number of New York parents opting out of the tests could exceed 60,000 this year, according to The Washington Post.
