Mount Pleasant Schools Closed On Tuesday

THORNWOOD, N.Y. ‒ All schools in the Mount Pleasant Central District will be closed Tuesday due to Hurricane Sandy.

Sunday the district announced that all schools would be closed Monday. It has not yet been determined when school will resume. 

Monday morning, Town Supervisor Joan Maybury declared a state of emergency in town.

A shelter has been set up at Town Hall in Valhalla with cots, food and water. Pets are welcome.
