Hurricane Sandy Closes Pleasantville Schools Tuesday

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - Pleasantville schools will be closed on Tuesday due to Hurricane Sandy, the district announced.

The district has not yet determined when school will re-open.

Town Supervisor Joan Maybury declared a state of emergency for Mount Pleasant Monday morning. A shelter has been set up at Town Hall in Valhalla with cots, food and water. Pets are welcome.
