Bedford Road School grants went to Kindergarten COREPacks; Know Your Farmer, Know Your Food; the middle school grants were for MakerSpace and Maker Programs; Walls That Inspire; Technology for the Music Classroom; and Drums Replacement Project while the high school grants were for Modeling in Science; 3-D Printer; and School Store.
The board also approved a three-year contract with the Pleasantville School District Administrators Association that is below the 2 percent tax cap and requires increased health contributions.

At Bedford Road School, kindergarten and first-grade classes visited the edible garden for a tour and harvesting. Students learned about herbs, radishes, strawberries and many other fruits and vegetables that are growing in the garden. Mrs. Wiebke’s fourth-graders performed "The Case of the Missing Paragraph" on the BRS stage. K-4 parents, students and staff enjoyed music, food and spending time with other BRS families at the PTA’s second annual family barbecue.
At the middle school, seventh-graders traveled to the Museum of Natural History and gathered information for their cladograms on the evolutionary relationships of different species. The fifth-grade band, orchestra and chorus concluded the spring concert season with a performance Wednesday night. On Friday, seventh-grade English classes were treated to a live performance of "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" by the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, thanks to the PTA Cultural Arts Committee. Sixth-graders enjoyed an outdoor experience at Teatown Reservation Friday.
At the high school, "Man of La Mancha" won Metro awards in Overall Production, Actor in a Leading Role (James McCarthy), Musical Direction (Tom Heintzelman) and Student Critic (Katie Bartz). Journalism and TV production classes attended a communications careers seminar, the top prize in a United Way 211 Public Service Announcement contest won by the TV Production class, that featured guest speakers Shannon Cobb (public relations for United Way), Jeanne Muchnick (Daily Voice), Ernie Garcia (The Journal News) and Sue Guzman (100.7 WHUD).
