Spinner To Demonstrate On Two Antique Wheels In Ridgewood

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- The Ridgewood Historical Society's Annual Meeting will be on Sunday, May 22 -- and feature a demonstration of two antique spinning wheels included in our current exhibit.

Catherine Allison will demonstrate use of the spinning wheels, which she had donated to the museum. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m.

The Ridgewood Historical Society operates the Schoolhouse Museum, site of one of Ridgewood's first public schools in Ridgewood. The group's mission, according to its website, "is to preserve the building, as well as maintain, interpret and exhibit the collection of artifacts representing the history, culture and lives of ordinary people from Ridgewood and the surrounding area from the period of Native America to the early 20th century in a consistently innovative way."
