Other programs affected included nonprofit programs like the Discovery Museum, the Beardsley Zoo and the Barnum Museum of Bridgeport, reported the Connecticut Post.

Malloy held a closed-door meeting with legislators on Wednesday, calling it a "bump and run" and a start to dealing with the state's projected $900 million 2016-17 budget deficit, the Post said.
