NORWALK, Conn. - Rosalie Mary Lato, a longtime resident of Norwalk, died Saturday, Sept. 27. She was 86.
Lato was born March 4, 1928, in Baltimore, Md., to Pasquale and Carmela Liberatore DellaRose.
Lato is survived by her son, Frank Lato Jr (Cathy) of Vista, N.Y.; daughters, Frances Schulman (Michael) of Norwalk, Patricia Cimitile (Robert) of Norwalk, Maryann Mola (Bruce) of Lutz, Fla., Carmela Maltese (Frank) of Easton and Roseann Kade (Dennis) Shelton; sisters, Anna Berna and Norma Miller both of Maryland; and 12 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Anthony and Joseph Della Rose; and sister, Mary Chiancaglin.
Calling hours are Monday, Sept. 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St., New Canaan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30 at St Matthews Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, CT 06854 with interment to follow in St Johns Cemetery.
