In March, Anthony Fontaine, 55, who worked as a driver and resident counselor at the facility, pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree attempted rape. He could have received a 15-year sentence
Fontaine faced multiple charges alleging that he raped and sodomized a woman on several occasions in 2011 when he agreed to the plea midway through his trial. He was facing as many as 75 years in prison at that time.
Westchester County Police officials and the Westchester County District Attorney’s office began investigating Fontaine last year when the woman accused him of the attempted rape at the group home. He was arrested on June 13, 2012.
According to reports, prosecutors agreed to the plea agreement to spare the victim the trauma of having to face Fontaine in court.
