As part of the program, Coldwell Banker is seeking $36,000 to build six homes in impoverished neighborhoods within the two countries. The offices will work on the endeavor with New Story, a charity which funds the construction of homes for families living in dangerous and deplorable conditions across the Americas.

The company’s charitable foundation, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Foundation, is off to a fast start having already committed a $6,000 donation for the campaign.

“Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has a deep commitment to assisting people with their housing needs," said Joseph A. Valvano, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Connecticut and Westchester County. "We believe that the desire for safe, secure, and sustainable housing extends beyond the borders of the communities in which we have a presence, but for too many people throughout the world, a home with running water and electricity is just a dream. We are proud to align ourselves with New Story and are excited to assist them in their mission and invite the community to join us.”

“We are grateful that Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage made the decision to partner with us in our efforts to create healthy and sustainable communities in areas of the world that most need our help," said Brett Hagler, CEO and co-founder of New Story. "Coldwell Banker consistently demonstrates its support of housing-related causes locally and regionally, and now they are embarking on a campaign that will have an incredible impact. We couldn’t accomplish what we do without the assistance of responsible and civic-minded corporate partners like Coldwell Banker.”
