What To Expect On Your Ballot, Pleasantville

VALHALLA, N.Y. – With Election Day less than a month away, it is important for voters in Mount Pleasant to know what to expect on the ballot.

In addition to choosing the next president of the United States, Mount Pleasant voters will choose among candidates for Congress and state offices, plus a Westchester County judge. The following will be on Mount Pleasant voters’ ballots:

U.S. president

  • Barack Obama (Democratic, Working Families)
  • Mitt Romney (Republican, Conservative)
  • Jill Stein (Green)
  • Gary Johnson (Libertarian)
  • Peta Lindsay (Socialism and Liberation)
  • Virgil Goode (Constitution)

U.S. Senate, New York

  • Kirsten Gillibrand (Democratic, Working Families, Independence)
  • Wendy Long (Republican, Conservative)
  • Colia Clark (Green)
  • Chris Edes (Libertarian)
  • John Mangelli (Common Sense)

U.S. House of Representatives, District 17

  • Joseph Carvin (Republican)
  • Nita Lowey (Democratic, Working Families)
  • Francis Morganthaler (We the People)

N.Y. Senate, District 40

  • Greg Ball (Republican, Conservative, Independence)

The Town of Mount Pleasant will have voter registration drives on Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Oct. 12 from noon to 9 p.m.  Both will be at Town Hall, 1 Town Hall Plaza, Valhalla. Residents also may register at the Westchester County Board of Elections Office in White Plains. Oct. 12 is the voter registration deadline.

Absentee ballots may be obtained at the Mount Pleasant town clerk’s office in Town Hall. Election Day is Nov. 6.
