Westchester's Hillary Clinton Was Not Cleared To Use Private Email

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, a Chappaqua resident since 1999, broke government rules when she used her personal server to send work emails, reports The New York Times.

The first publicly released audit from the State Department Inspector General concludes she shouldn't have used her own server and wouldn't have gotten permission if she had asked, reports the Times.

The report also criticizes Clinton for not handling her records properly under the Federal Records Act once she stepped down in January 2013, reports the Times.

The audit investigated five secretaries going back to Madeleine Albright and criticized the State Department for mishandling electronic records, the Times said
