MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- Councilman Denis McCarthy is continuing his feud with Mount Pleasant Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi, this time over the tape of the July 11 town board meeting.
The meeting has not been shown on cable TV. McCarthy told The Examiner . He believes Fulgenzi is trying to hide a public hearing proposing legislation that would raise building permit fees to $1,000 from $100 and levying a $500 fine for work done without permits.
The public hearing will be continued at the Sept. 12 meeting.
Fulgenzi called the claims "ludicrous" and blamed it on equipment from Valhalla High School that was removed by mistake.
The meeting is still available to watch online here .
The Mount Pleasant Republic Committee declined to endorse McCarthy for re-election earlier this year.
