The pursuit, which began in Columbia County, ended off Route 70 in Pine Plains late in the afternoon when the teens' stolen 2015 Toyota Camry drove off the road and became disabled, police said.

The teens -- aged 14 and 15 -- had walked away from the Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth in Canaan earlier in the afternoon, according to police.

They then burglarized a local residence and subsequently stole the Camry from that residence, police said.

Within minutes of the vehicle being reported stolen, troopers on Route 22 in the Town of New Lebanon observed it and attempted conduct a traffic stop. The operator refused to comply and was subsequently followed by members of the state police, who coordinated efforts with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, Dutchess County Sheriff's Office and State Police Aviation, state police said.

The three juveniles had been court committed to Berkshire Farms and have since been relocated to a secure facility in the Capital District, according to police.

The subjects will be petitioned in Columbia County Family Court as juvenile delinquents, facing numerous felony allegations
