Teen Sent To Jail After Separate Incidents In Mount Pleasant, Police Say

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. - A teenage resident of the JCCA Pleasantville Cottage School RTC was arrested over the weekend by police in Mount Pleasant following a pair of violent incidents with other residents.

According to police, an 18-year-old Cottage School resident is facing separate charges after being involved in two incidents over the weekend.

In the first incident, the student was confronted by another resident, and he broke out a door window, police said. He was subsequently charged with criminal mischief following the incident. In the second case, he attacked another resident, and was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, assault with a dangerous instrument and second-degree coercion. 

The teen, whose name has not been released, was remanded to the Westchester County Jail and is due back in Mount Pleasant Town Court this week.
