PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- New York State Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information that directly leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for a recent Pleasantville murder.

Linda Misek-Falkoff, a 76-year-old Pleasantville resident, was found dead in her Grandview Avenue home. Police said Misek-Falkoff was stabbed to death in what was Pleasantville's first murder in 20 years.

New York State Crime Stoppers said it is offering the reward in cooperation with the Westchester County Police and Pleasantville Police.

Pleasantville police said they had no new information to report about the investigation.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the NYS Crime Stoppers hot line at 1-866-313- TIPS (8477) or to download the New York State Crime Stoppers Mobile App and provide their information from their phone. The mobile app allows a person to either call the hotline anonymously from their cell phone or send an email tip or photo tip in an encrypted and untraceable environment.

Crime Stoppers said any information, however insignificant it may seem, could lead to the solving of this crime.

Misek-Falkoff was found dead by police on Oct. 30 after they were notified by her mail carrier who found newspapers and mail accumulating near the front door, police said. Police believe she had been dead for almost a week.

Since her death, it had also been revealed that Misek-Falkoff filed numerous lawsuits.
