The program, COPsync911, a real-time emergency communications program, can be used on a variety of everything from laptops and smartphones to tablets to alert students, staff and first-responders to various situations, including weather, crime and health-related emergencies, said the Examiner News.
The program can also alert the nearest law enforcement officers to the school with the simple push of a button. The program’s implementation will begin in April and will operate on the schools’ internet system, classroom voice communication systems or a wireless network, added The Examiner News.
