Pleasantville Police: Alleged Shoplifting At Key Food

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - A 47-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly shoplifting at the Key Food Marketplace on Pleasantville Road, Pleasantville police said.

Pleasantville officers said they responded to the location on Sunday, Jan. 20 about 3:15 p.m.and arrested the woman. She was charged with petit larceny. Pleasantville police declined to release the woman's name or what was allegedly stolen from the business.

  • On Jan. 23, at about 10:22 a.m., a resident reported an electrical wire down on Marble Ave. that was said to be causing a hazardous condition to nearby residents, police said. Police said Verizon was notified to remove the wire and that the matter was shortly resolved.
  • On Jan. 21 at about 12:05 a.m., police said they responded to a complaint of noise coming from somewhere in an apartment complex at 40 Foxwood Drive. After arriving at the scene, police said the matter was unfounded.
  • From Jan. 20 through the afternoon of Jan. 24, Pleasantville Police responded to a total of 45 calls throughout the village.
