HAWTHORNE, N.Y. - A 27-year-old Pleasantville man was arrested Monday by the New York State Police in Hawthorne and charged with driving while ability impaired (DWAI).

The traffic stop took place at 2:53 a.m. after police allegedly saw the man swerving from lane to lane on the Sprain Brook Parkway. The man was arrested during the stop as police believed he was impaired on drugs, the report said.

The man reportedly provided a blood sample at Phelps Memorial Hospital. He was then released on the traffic violation and is due back to the town Greenburgh Court on July 26.
