Pace Campus Crash Leads To Student's DWI Arrest

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – A Pace University student was charged with DWI early Sunday in connection with a car crash the grounds of the Pleasantville school, according to Mount Pleasant Police. Evan Wildberger, 19, of Lindenhurst, was arrested by Mount Pleasant  officers responding to a 2 a.m. call of a student crashing into a tree on the Pace campus. 

Wildberger and another Pace student in the car were transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment of facial injuries. Mount Pleasant Police Chief Louis Alagno said Wildberger and his passenger were not wearing seat belts.

Wildberger is listed on Pace University's athletics website as a former member of the football team. 

Also from the Mount Pleasant police blotter:

  • Saul Buezo, 23 of Valhalla, was charged with misdemeanor criminal contempt on Sept. 28 at around 5 a.m. Police say Buezo violated a court order of protection in a domestic dispute in Valhalla.
  • Two vehicles were burglarized while parked in the New York Sports Club’s parking lot in Hawthorne on the night of Sept. 24. Police say that around 10 p.m. both cars had their windows smashed. Stolen items included a wallet, a Canon camera and a backpack. The incident is under investigation.
