On Monday, April 17, officers received a call of an apparent rabid raccoon in a driveway. When officers responded the animal had died and was removed.
Also on April 17, the department received complaints regarding a suspicious man carrying a large knife on his belt at the Meyer Nature Preserve. A woman told officers the man had stopped her and was asking about her dogs, but was friendly and not threatening. The woman said she did not feel right about the encounter. Officers searched the area but could not find the man.
Later on April 17, a resident reported he was receiving prank phone calls from a number that he had looked up on the internet and from to be from Armonk. The resident did not want to file a complaint, he just wanted it on record. Officers called the number and left a message for the person to stop calling the resident.
Around 8 p.m. on April 17, a resident called to report her husband vandalized her vehicle.
On Wednesday, April 19, a driver called to report an injured deer obstructing part of Middle Patent Road. An officer responded and found the deer alive, but immobile, he was removed from the roadway.
