Officers were dispatched to a Brundage Street home shortly before 2:15 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, when a woman reported that a suspicious man had just come to her door, asking to gain entry into her home to view her Con Edison gas meter.

Police said the woman was told the man was working with a company called “Trinity Energy,” although he was operating out of a gray minivan with no distinct markings. The woman was unable to provide police with a license plate.

When officers arrived at the home, the van was gone. Officers canvassed the area for the suspect, but the vehicle was gone upon arrival.
